A head full of fears has no space for dreams.
I believe there may be more fears in life than there are dreams. The reason I say this is because when we dream of something, it is often something spectacular. Something big that we strive for. Something we know would change our lives if accomplished. It’s something we know would take hard work to achieve and that the hard work would be worth any difficulties we would need to overcome.
But, when this pops into our head, it is often accompanied by a lot of “what if” scenarios.
What if *insert any negative situation*?
What if I run out of money?
What if I get hurt?
What if I lose my job?
What if I fail?
These poisonous thoughts clog our minds and hinder our minds from thinking clearly. I don’t believe the pursuit is the hardest part of our journey. I believe it is the start. Overcoming this initial negativity. Gaining confidence in the form of small wins that give us the momentum needed to smash through any roadblock we may come across.
Of all the questions you ask yourself that start with “what if”, there’s only one you should really focus on.
What if I succeed?
Rid your mind of your deepest fear and take your first step. Start there. You’ll be surprised how far you’ll end up going.
